Charity Album for Crohn’s & Colitis UK

Posted 01 Dec 2015 in News

Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. More than 300,000 people in the UK are affected by an IBD.

To look at someone with an IBD you might not even be able to notice that they have one…but if they tell you they do, please don't compare it to IBS! IBDs can actually be fatal. With the right treatment (and, in some cases, surgery) the diseases can be managed.

Some of you may know that I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in June 2014. Since then it's been a battle with medication and flare ups but I'm pleased to say that I'm finally in remission.

There isn't enough awareness about this disease so my idea of putting this album together was to ask a bunch of my musician friends to donate a track to help promote IBD and to raise money for research into new treatments which could save the lives of thousands of people across the UK. Some of the artists featured on the album have an IBD or know someone who has one. The other artists are donating a track to show their support for the cause including Jamie Lawson (Ed Sheeran's signing).
