Lauren's second single Fragile Girl was released on Monday 1st April 2013. Recorded by Bryan Edery and featuring musicians Ross Wilson and Marco Tiano, the song is available on iTunes, Amazon and other online stores. There have already been some amazing reviews about the song which prompted Radio Glamorgan's Jonesy to telephone Lauren for a radio interview and to talk about the song and its meaning. Lauren says: "I'm the Fragile Girl - the song is about me and about how I would feel in a brand new relationship with 'the one'. I hope that people who listen to the song can relate to it." Singer/Songwriter, Kal Lavelle performed last October at Lauren's birthday gig at Dusk Till Dawn in Archway. Kal asked Lauren to perform harmonies as a special birthday treat and you can see the video below.
Lauren has featured in a recent blog called "The One Question Interviews" which has been created by Marion Brown. Marion has created a "milestone list" and one of the items on her list is to "conduct as many 'One Question Interviews' as possible". Lauren was really excited to be asked to do this and, after eventually getting around to it, now appears on Marion's blog. A rough demo of brand new track, Fragile Girl, has just been uploaded to Soundcloud. An exciting start in the studio will take place this Sunday and will be properly recorded by producer, Bryan Edery with a host of talented musicians. More news on this to follow.
The Wonder Woman music video (which has accumulated nearly 1,500 views since January) has been submitted into the BBC Music Video Festival by videographers Red River Film & Photography. The festival runs from 10th to 29th September and the successful videos get shown on big screens across the country.
Lauren has made it a little mission to play at least ONE festival this year. Lauren has entered a competition to play at the Strawberry Fields Festival (which is not in Liverpool by the way – go figure)! To get through to the next round Lauren needs everyone to vote. Album Launch Listed As "Gig Not To Miss" The Music Industry Network, Musicborn, has listed Lauren's Album Launch Party in their list of "Gigs Not To Miss".
Endorsement From Renowned Singer/Songwriter American Singer/Songwriter, Dean Friedman (most famous for hits in the late 70s including 'Lucky Stars' and 'Lydia') recently commented on Lauren's music. In an email conversation, Dean said to Lauren "I enjoyed your 'Wonder Woman' video – neat stuff". He also told her to "keep making cool music". We're very excited about this endorsement in the 'Lauren Rich camp' as Lauren has always admired Dean and his songs.
